Why we’re partnering with the Offsite Awards 2025: recognising our sector’s talent
4 min read | August 2025

The Offsite Awards celebrates the very best in the offsite construction industry, championing excellence across all the sectors that pre-assembly is used in.
Its mission is to highlight outstanding achievements in innovation, quality, and performance, and drive industry awareness and progress. The awards recognise the transformative power of offsite building practices in shaping the built environment and promoting sustainability, as well as showcasing the power of modular construction as we prepare for the year ahead.
This year’s awards will be held at the Coventry Building Society Arena on 16th September 2025 and will feature categories ranging from Best Use of Volumetric Technology to Product Innovation of the Year.
Here at Thurston Group, we have chosen to sponsor the Contractor of the Year category at this year’s Offsite Awards as we continue to emphasise our commitment to championing the offsite construction industry and its future.
Why Thurston has decided to sponsor this year’s Offsite Awards
Offsite construction is underpinned by efficiency, high-quality, and constant innovation – key principles that we live by here at Thurston Group.
Sponsoring the Offsite Awards gives us a platform to shout about the importance of abiding by these principles every day, celebrating our fellow industry members who also strive for excellence, push boundaries, and raise the standards of modular construction projects.
Here are four reasons why we’re supporting the awards this year:
Championing high-quality offsite manufacturing
The Offsite Awards showcases and celebrates the exceptional standards being achieved in our industry.
While we pride ourselves on the high-quality finished projects we accomplish on a monthly, weekly and daily basis, our continuous improvement ethos means we know we can always go one step further.
As a leader in the offsite construction industry, we want to contribute to the conversation on best practices, innovation, and sector growth, helping to shape the future of modular manufacturing.
Seeing products and projects which represent the pinnacle of our industry helps us aim higher and higher. We want to be the very best, and we’ll get there by surrounding ourselves with businesses which are setting new benchmarks in the offsite manufacturing industry.
The chance to connect with like-minded businesses in the industry
More than just an opportunity to learn, the Offsite Awards offer up an opportunity to build connections that we can utilise now and into the future.
Success in the offsite sector is established on strong partnerships, and our sponsorship reflects our belief in the power of collaboration between clients, designers, and manufacturers.
It’s no secret the manufacturing and construction industries are facing recruitment struggles and skills shortages, but by collaborating with each other, and starting those conversations, we can put the steps in place to attract new talent and upskill staff.
By talking now, we can start to future-proof the sector and inspire the next generation of experts and leaders to make their start into the offsite construction world.
We’d love to see the latest pioneering projects in offsite manufacturing
A big part of future-proofing the sector and encouraging young people into the world of offsite manufacturing will come from unique, innovative projects that spark excitement.
From smart technology that can automate parts of the factory floor, to an advanced frame system transforming the speed of house building, these pioneering projects have the potential to reshape industry standards.
Sustainability remains an important topic, and we want to reinforce our commitment to reducing environmental impact through efficient, low-waste, high-performance construction, by championing those who are innovating in this area.
We’re here to celebrate and amplify innovations that deliver smarter, more efficient building solutions and can drive the industry forward into a bright future, showing the power of offsite construction in reaching net-zero targets.
Celebrating our own journey
We might not have entered the awards ourselves this year, but our non-executive director, Paul Tierney, is one of the judges, assessing the inspiring entries from across the UK.
At Thurston, we have a track record of delivering award-nominated projects, actively contributing to the excellence recognised by the awards.
As we continue on our journey to becoming the No1 choice for modular manufacturing in the UK, we want to take a pit stop to reflect on everything we’ve achieved so far.
From our major framework wins, to our trailblazing commitment to setting the highest safety standards, we’re proud of our ability to deliver products and projects that set us apart.
Sponsoring the Offsite Awards gives us the space to talk about the journey we’ve been on so far and celebrate some of the very best of our industry as we near the final quarter of 2025.
