Thurston Group has installed a 10 bay modular building providing two storey’s of consultation and treatment rooms for Waterside Health and Wellbeing Centre. The much-needed facility in Blackburn also features staff accommodation facilities.

The building was uniquely designed ensuring maximum occupancy and efficiency for a wide range of community health services. As well as use for multi-disciplined agencies. Manufactured to a detailed specification and a high quality finish, the building sits within a highly populated area. Offsite and modular construction minimised disruption to the surrounding community and ensured a quick delivery. 

Thanks to the flexibility of the design, we were able to provide a bespoke internal and external finish to accommodate the client’s brief. The finished building is clad in various materials including render, a stone skin and cedar. While the interior comprises under floor heating, mechanical ventilation, full access control and staff security systems. It’s also been built in compliance with Health Technical Memoranda and clinical guidance.
