We’re pleased to announce that we’re now a proud member of the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce (MYCC), an accredited member of the British Chambers of Commerce.

We deliver high-quality modular and portable buildings through modern methods of construction to every industry. Continually evolving our operation, we’re one of the longest-standing and highest performing modular and portable buildings manufacturers in the UK.

Supporting local business for over 165 years, the MYCC exists to help connect, support and grow local businesses. Benefits include marketing, business engagement opportunities and a large number of events across the region.

The Chamber has three sub-divisions – the Halifax & District Chamber of Commerce, the Huddersfield & District Chamber of Commerce and the Wakefield & District Chamber of Commerce. This strengthens local representation and the support they provide. It also allows the Chamber to recognise the individual needs of the businesses across the region. Providing a tailored service so businesses can benefit from more localised networking events, conferences and business support services.

We’re building a brand new social value plan. Which will see us working with multiple groups to give back and improve the lives of those living and working in the local community.

Matt Goff, our Managing Director, said, “We’re delighted to be members of the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce. We look forward to getting involved with any upcoming networking events and conferences. Our mission extends beyond our services and products and into the local communities that we serve. We actively encourage social value contributions across the business by engaging with and supporting the local community, from charitable organisations to providing educational and employment opportunities across the North East and beyond.”

Off-site manufactured modular and relocatable cabins offer companies a flexible, efficient solution for boosting eco-credentials, as they can be readily adapted with sustainable features that enhance energy efficiency.

Thurston Group continues to prioritise sustainability, working towards our goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2040. Our 2023 Carbon Footprint Report, developed in partnership with Carbon.Climate.Certified, provides a detailed analysis of our environmental impact across three facilities in Wakefield, Catfoss, and Hull.
