Modular building
Modular buildings meet the demand for schools that need to be built in a short period of time, and this certainly is the case for the Langford Academy.
Central Bedfordshire Council had an urgent requirement following a recent condition survey, to resolve their issue they looked at ESPO’s 953 -Modular Building Framework for the supply, manufacture, delivery and installation of Double classroom block, containing Two large DfE classrooms with storage areas, Accessible Toilet and Three W/C’s along with a lobby area.
Following the competitive mini-competition tendering process, with the speed of delivery at the heart as the main driver following the award and prestart meeting we worked with the Council to fast-track the building into use.
Following a successful delivery and occupation, we provided a further two double classroom blocks to additional School sites in the Central Bedfordshire region.
