The brief

The contract included the design, manufacture and installation of a single bay gatehouse at Aldi’s distribution site in Neston.

The challenges

Thurston had to work within strict timelines, whilst ensuring quality and durability.

The solution

Thurston worked closely with the client to deliver the gatehouse, which comprised of a control room, a lobby, a plant room, disabled WC, driver WC, beverage area, and a cleaner store.

The manufacturing process involved using non-combustible, zinc-rich, self-healing, galvanised steel to the roof, walls and floors, which provided a high-quality finish built to last.
