New production director set to drive continued growth and improvement

Dan Pollard, new production director

Dan Pollard joins us bringing with him over 25 years of experience working in the modular manufacturing industry, having managed complex, large-scale modular construction projects, across the world, from the UAE to Armenia, as well as the UK and Ireland.

In his new role, Pollard is taking full ownership of our manufacturing facilities to drive efficiency and elevate the quality of our modular solutions, which include everything from storage for construction sites, to multi-story buildings for schools.

He will be instrumental in championing continuous improvement across the board and advancing our already high production standards while scaling capabilities beyond our four manufacturing sites in Yorkshire.

Pollard began his career on the production floor as a supervisor, giving him a hands-on understanding of modular manufacturing that has shaped his strategic approach to operational excellence. His qualifications include a Six Sigma Black Belt in manufacturing and quality, a master’s degree in global business strategy, and a master’s degree in construction project management.

Speaking about his new role, Pollard said: “I’m delighted to be joining Thurston, in the midst of what is a pivotal time for the company. I’ll be working work with the executive leadership team to drive operational excellence in the business, by building on the ongoing efforts to bring our production capabilities to the next level through modernisation and upscaling.

“My focus is on driving greater efficiency through increased productivity, smarter use of technology, and waste reduction. My global experience in the modular construction industry will support the continued scaling of our operations, enhancing both our manufacturing capabilities and the solutions we deliver across a wide range of sectors.”
